The Annual Alumni Meet is an important medium of opening a window to the on going activities and achievement of the college for our alumni.

The Annual Alumni Meet, Sansmaran 2011, was one such event that brought back fond memories. The event was held on 26th November 2011 at NITIE's picturesque campus. There was nostalgia in the air as scores of alumni caught up on old times, reminiscing about the years spent at their alma mater.

This year Sansmaran witnessed the felicitation of the 14th batch of the Post Graduate Programme (1984-1986) in honour of their 25-year strong relationship with the institute as proud alumni. Around 110 alumni visited the campus this year.

NITIE Alumni Association Distinguished Alumnus Award was conferred upon Dr. Thomas Mathew alumni of very first batch of the PGDIE,program currently Director of St.Francis Institute of Management and Research by Dr. Amitabha De, Director and President, NITIE Alumni Association along with Mr. Dev Bhattacharya, Group Executive President, Aditya Birla Group & Chairman, NAA and Prof. Ashok K. Pundir, Dean Students Affairs and Placement and Honorary secretary, NAA.

In continuance with the initiatives taken last year, the second edition of NITIE's alumni magazine titled - 'AlumNiti' was also launched in Sansmaran 2011.

The highlight of this year's Sansmaran was the success of highly informative panel discussion in which faculty and alumni of IE 14 taught us the mantra of success in practical industry applications.

After the felicitation ceremony it was the time for a scintillating cultural show put up by the multi-talented students of NITIE . The sterling event comprised of both solo and group performances in the genre of rock ,classical ,bollywood. Alumni of the silver jubilee batch also took active participation with their mesmerizing delivery of unforgettable shayris.
