Equipments and Facilities:
- Development of new Computer Lab set up.
- Procurement of new Software like SAP.
- Procurement of e-learning Software.
- Development of new Labs for PGDITM (Post Graduate Diploma in Information Technology Management )

Research and Development
- R & D activities need to be given a boost. R&D setup need to be strengthened.
- For Research, separate fund may be created.
- Research Projects in social sector, public health, drinking water supply, transportation etc may be undertaken.
- Community based Research Project may be undertaken and included in the PGP Curriculum.
- Labour related issues may be handled as a priority area.
- Facilities for application oriented research may be provided.
- Institute should get involved more and more in the areas of basic and applied research.

MDP’s/UBP’s:
- MDP Programmes may be circulated to NITIE Alumni for their information and suitable usage.
- Joint Training Programmes with the organization(where alumni are working) may be organized.

Consultancy:
- NITIE can work on consultancy assignments jointly with major consultancy Organizations and Professional bodies.
- Proper linkages may be established with Maharashtra Govt.for obtaining various consultancy projects in the areas of priority and mutual interest.

Seminar and Workshops:
- International /national seminars may be organized every year.
Alumni Database:
- Alumni database may be developed:Countrywise,Citywise,Sectorwise,Postionwise.
- The data may be updated on regular basis.
- NITIE alumni website www.nitiealumni.org is already launched on 8th October,2005. The website will help in updating alumni database regularly.

Communication and Interaction with Alumni:
- Regional Alumni Meets may be organized at a regular interval.
- Birthday wish to alumni may be adopted and practiced.
- The facilities and areas in which institute can be help the alumni may be identified and published.
- To impress upon our Alumni to send information regarding Alumni receiving important recognition so that the same could be highlighted on the website.

Placements and Jobs:
- As and when advertisement for job vacancies are released by the organization where our alumni are working, the advertisement may specifically mention
about requirements of NITIE graduates wherever applicable, along with other Institute like IIMs, IITs etc.
- Offering summer intership in India and Abroad may be explored.
- Offering Final Placements in the India and Abroad may be explored.
Mode of Contribution by Alumni :
- Alumni could make substantial contributions to the Corpus Fund for specific purpose.
- Alumni especially who are living abroad could be given scholarships to our Students for specific purpose.
- Research Projects pertaining to there area could give to the institute.
- Research grants could be provided by the Alumni to our students.
- Training Programmes could be got organized from NITIE for their organizations.
- Consultancy jobs from their organization could be offered to NITIE.
- Their expertise in teaching, research etc could be made available to the institute.
- They may provide funds for creation of chairs.
- New Ambulance-Cardiac for the Healthcare may be funded by the Alumni.
- Medical Heath care facilities - upgradation could be funded by the Alumni.
- Supply of course materials from various American Universities for use by faculty could be facilitated by the Alumni.

Marketing and Publicity of Institute/Utilization of facilities:
- Aggressive Marketing of NITIE Projects and Programmes may be done through appropriate means.
- Facilities at NITIE may be used by other institute and organization on chargeable basis so as to generate revenue.

Other Important Points:
- Alumni at various locations may act as nodal points/Ambassadors of the institute for propagating the institute activities.
- NITIE Foundation day may be celebrated.
